Verification rules

The TransDate verified badge helps members trust that a profile represents a real person. Verification is free. Review these rules before you apply.

Who can apply

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Your account email must be confirmed and your account must be in good standing (not banned or suspended).
  • You may only apply for verification on an account that belongs to you.
  • One pending application at a time. If rejected, you may re-apply after fixing the issues noted by reviewers.

Accepted documents

  • Government-issued national ID card
  • Passport
  • Driver’s license

Documents must be valid (not expired when possible), clearly readable, and show your photo and legal name. You may cover ID numbers, address lines, or other sensitive data that are not needed to confirm identity — leave your photo and name visible.

Photo & selfie requirements

  • Upload a clear image or PDF of your document (no heavy filters or screenshots of screenshots).
  • A selfie holding the same document next to your face is strongly recommended.
  • Your face in the selfie should match the photo on the document.
  • Do not submit documents belonging to someone else, stock photos, or digitally altered IDs.

Privacy & data use

  • Verification documents are used only to review your application.
  • Access is limited to authorized moderators/admins.
  • Documents are stored securely and are not shown on your public profile.
  • Submitting fake, stolen, or misleading documents may result in rejection, account suspension, or a ban.

Review process

  1. Submit your application from Settings → Verification.
  2. Staff review your files (usually within a few days).
  3. If approved, the verified badge appears on your profile and posts.
  4. If rejected, you will see the reason and may apply again.

Admins may also grant or remove the verified badge manually. Verification does not mean endorsement of content, and it can be revoked if rules are broken.
